Welcome to Merryfields Special School.
We are a generic special school, located in the heart of Wolstanton in Staffordshire, providing specialist education for pupils aged from 2-11 years.
Our dedicated and highly skilled staff, ensure that a high-quality educational provision is provided to all pupils. Through personalised learning approaches, we support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, to be aspirational to help them along their journey to achieve their potential. We believe strongly that every pupil, should be equipped, encouraged and provided with the opportunities to succeed, and our experienced staff make this possible.
Our philosophy is that success for each pupil is personal, as we aim to help all pupils progress socially, emotionally, academically, physically and morally through a tailored curriculum, bespoke to our school. We also promote a sense of community at Merryfields, encouraging pupil voice, whole school themed days, regular charity events and all supported by our team of Year 6 prefects.
Our school works closely in partnership with parents and carers, to ensure all of our pupils not only feel valued, but also have positive learning experiences. Our Pupil Mentor hosts termly parent coffee afternoons and we openly encourage regular communication between Home and School.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website, if you would like to visit our school, please contact our reception and it would be great to introduce you to our Merryfields family.
